NEW YORK, April 30 /PRNewswire/ — No woman wants her skin to reveal, or worse, belie her age — and now a new study finds that many women are willing to pay a significant price to prevent this from ever happening. The study, conducted by Sustainable Youth(R) in conjunction with Kelton Research, finds that, despite the economic downturn, a full one-third (33%) of American women say they are willing to give up 10 percent of their savings in order to look a decade younger for the rest of their lives, and this sentiment rises among younger ladies.

Facing the Facts

An Admirable Asset. Forget 401(K)’s and savings accounts — many women know the dividends are better when they invest in their looks. One in three (33%) admit they’d give up 10 percent of their savings to look 10 years younger than they are for the rest of their life.

Fighting Father Time. Almost one in two (44%) women ages 25-44 would give up one tenth of their savings to look a decade younger forever, compared to 26 percent of those 45 and older.

Disposable Dollars. Over two in five (41%) women with a household income of $40,000 or more would give up 10 percent of their savings if it meant they’d look 10 years younger, compared to less than three in ten (26%) who earn less.

The Parenting Effect. More mothers than women without children would give up 10 percent of their savings in order to eternally look a decade younger.
